Executive Director [11/2020 – 12/2023] Public Land Water Access Association (PLWA), Montana (state-wide)
I served as the Executive Director of a state-wide legal public lands & waters advocacy nonprofit. PLWA, formed in 1985, and fought for and one some of the most significant landmark access legislation of the western United States. As ED, I oversaw our programs, access investigation fundraising, work with governmental bodies to protect equitable public access, state and federal land trades recommendations, and helped administer our organization. I also served as the face of the organization to the public, authored our communications, wrote grants and financial reports, steered the organization, and helped direct and create our vision. Over 80% of Montana’s residents recreate on public land and it is a $7.1 billion industry.
Assistant Campus Director [9/2018 - 8/2019] Montana State University – College of Nursing, Bozeman Campus, Montana
As the Assistant Campus Director for the College of Nursing’s Bozeman Campus my duties included overseeing and assigning courses in the undergraduate and doctoral programs, addressing faculty and student issues, assisting with faculty orienting, training, and advising, serving as a liaison between clinical instructors and community partners, and supporting students. Additionally I served as the College’s representative to the University for the state-level strategic planning process.
Interim Campus Director [5/2018 – 9/2018] Montana State University – College of Nursing, Bozeman Campus, Montana.
As the Interim Campus Director for the College of Nursing’s Bozeman Campus my duties included hiring non-tenure track faculty, overseeing and assigning courses in our undergraduate and doctoral programs, addressing faculty and student issues, serving as a liaison between the Dean of the College and faculty, and supporting students.
International Coordinator [2016 - 2019] Montana State University – College of Nursing, (state-wide)
During my time as International Coordinator of the International Nursing Program, I oversaw operations for all five College of Nursing campuses around the state. In this role I facilitated international opportunities for students and faculty to participate in research, deliver clinical care, and engage in programs of study around the world. Special attention was paid to garnering funding for programs, modeling nursing research, and facilitating trans-disciplinary research and international academic partnerships with institutions abroad. Fundraising and social media was also a part of my role.

I taught and re-designed courses for students in the undergraduate and graduate programs both locally and utilizing distance education methodology. Courses included:

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) [2013 - 2019] Community Health Partners (FQCHC – multi-site), Park & Gallatin Counties, Montana
I served as an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner (APRN) for CHP, transitioning from 40 hours weekly covering all sites and the summer contract for our rural stand-alone location in West Yellowstone for two years to a fill-in for sites in Gallatin and Park Counties as needed. I cared for patients of all ages for preventive, women’s health, child health, acute care, and minor traumas. I also served as a preceptor for graduate Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students. As an FQCHC in a rural state we had a special focus on health-care home practices, monitoring and evaluation of services, and meaningful use metrics.
Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) [2011 - 2012] South River Community Health Center (FQCHC Lookalike)/ ADAPT Crossroads Addiction Treatment Center, Roseburg, Oregon
As the senior on site medical provider on staff I saw patients of all ages, providing primary care and on-call services to those in the rural community health center, while also serving as the medical provider and clinician of record for two in-patient addiction treatment facilities for adults and teens.

Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Interpreter [2007 - 2008] Public Health Solutions; New York, NY
During my time at two Title X funded Public Health Solutions (formerly MIC Women’s Health Clinics, a division of the city health department) in the South Bronx & Astoria locations, I assisted providers with treatment plans and procedures, provided English/Spanish translation and interpretation services for patients, counseled patients on care issues, charted lab results and dispensed medications.
Spanish Language Instructor [2000] Forsyth Technical Community College, Winston-Salem, NC
Instructed emergency services professionals (fire department, emergency medical technicians) in Basic Spanish language classes.
Hispanic Affairs Coordinator [2000] Winston-Salem Fire Department, Winston-Salem, NC
Created “Quick Emergency Service Translation Cards” system for use by police, fire, and emergency medical technician workers. System was re-produced and adopted [with permission] by over 30 departments nationally and requested by FEMA.
Assisted with fire investigations, fire inspections, community education and engagement programming, English/Spanish translation and interpretation for fire/emergency/police, and served as a liaison between the Hispanic community and the City Fire Department.
